Our Story
Our story began back in 1974, when our grandfather, Mr. Montes, started his roofing journey in San Juan, Puerto Rico. With a strong work ethic and a heart for helping others, he made a name for himself by offering honest, high-quality roofing at fair prices—always putting people first.
In 1994, he brought that same spirit and passion to Texas, where he founded Affordable Roofing. His mission was simple: provide dependable, top-quality roofing services that families could actually afford.
Although Mr. Montes retired in 2004, his values still guide us every step of the way. Today, we’re proud to carry on what he started—using the best materials, doing the job right the first time, and treating every home like it’s our own. At Affordable Roofing, we believe that great work doesn’t have to come with a big price tag—and that’s a promise we proudly stand by.

Our Process
At Affordable Roofing, we make your roofing project straightforward and hassle-free. We ensure all materials are delivered promptly and are ready before we begin, so your roof can be installed efficiently—often within just one day.
Throughout the process, we keep you updated with clear photos and videos, including drone footage before and after the job. Once installation is complete, we thoroughly clean your property, leaving it spotless and safe.
Please note: Until further notice, we require an upfront deposit based on material costs. Additionally, the price we agree on is the price you pay—no surprise increases after signing.

new roof process
Removing old Materials
Once you settle on material and color are cruel arrive early morning and remove the existing roof once the crew removes all the old material. They will do an inspection on the decking system. We will locate any rotted or damaged wood and replace it up to five sheets for free. Before incurring another charge.
New Materials
when our team completes their inspection and deem the roof ready for installation of new material we install ice and water in the roofs valley system if the roof proceeds to have any then we will install new synthetic underlayment once the underlayment system is completed we then install new drip edge to match the color of the shingles once that is completed, we will install the shingles of your choice and all pipes,vents and flashing that are needed and finish the install with a ridge vent system, if applicable.
Completed Roof
After the roof is installed. We then apply caulking and paintonto all pipes vents, and flashings that are on the roof and do our final inspection once complete completed. Upon completing the roof inspection, our team will then continue to clean and magnetically rake your property to ensure all debris is removed. After completion and cleanup and satisfaction we collect payment and we leave your property clean like we were never there.
